The evergreen heart-shaped leaves of this herbaceous perennial will subtly change colour throughout the year, making this plant the perfect option for someone who wants something different to show throughout the year. The tri-coloured foliage is scalloped with ruffled edges, sitting under small flowers. Fantastic for underpinning a multi-season colour scheme.

How to grow heuchera
Growing well in full sun but preferring some shade, this hardy plant will happily grow in a border where it will provide a lot of ground cover or in a rockery or container. Keep well-watered to avoid discolouration. We recommend removing any discoloured leaves or flowers to encourage new growth.

What is a perennial plant?
Unlike annuals, which only live for one season, perennial plants are a long-term solution to colour in your garden that will come back year after year. Typically, a perennial will only bloom for one season of the year. However, there are long-blooming perennials. If grown in the right conditions and treated well, a perennial can live between three and five years. For a garden with colour all round, you should plant a mix of annuals and perennials that bloom in different seasons.
This HEUCHERA micrantha Palace Purple comes in a 2 litre pot
