More about your Sansevieria plant

Stylish and easy to look after, the Sansevieria is a popular houseplant for beginners and experts alike. Often call the ‘snake plant’ because of the patterns on their sword like leaves these plants are great additions to the home.

How to look after Sansevieria?

These are hardy indoor plants that can tolerate almost anything. Only needing watering once every two weeks when the top few inches of soil have dried out, these plants are easy to look after. It is better to underwater rather than over water these plants so judge it on the wetness of the soil and the look of the plant; if its going brown water more, if it goes yellow and starts to droop water less. Your Sansevieria prefers bright, but indirect light, but it can handle lower light conditions, making it a perfect office plant. If you see the leaves begin to discolour and droop then move to a more sunny location.

Is Sansevieria air purifying?

Yes, and it does it well. The Sansevieria was put through its paces by NASA in a test to see how plants could be used to purify air in spacecraft. The Sansevieria came out near the top of the list, this air-purifying houseplant filters out toxins from the air leaving you with a cleaner feeling room.
