The large, glossy leaves are heavily patterned with splashes and sectors of creamy white, pale green and rich deep green, making every leaf completely unique.

This plant is already well established and XL in size, with multiple large leaves and a strong root system. Its mature growth gives it an instant statement appearance, making it perfect as a focal point in a rare plant collection.

The exact plant available has particularly striking variegation throughout, with a beautiful mix of marbled and sectoral patterns across the foliage. Some leaves display bold blocks of white variegation, whilst others have a softer marbled effect.

As this is a highly variegated Anthurium, it is normal for some of the older leaves to show a little browning around the pale sections or slight cosmetic marks. Highly variegated leaves are naturally more delicate because the white areas contain less chlorophyll.

Please note that this is a mature, established plant and some of the lower or oldest leaves may have minor marks, slight browning or small imperfections. These are purely cosmetic and should be expected on a plant of this size and age. The newest growth remains the main feature and shows the strongest and healthiest variegation.

You will receive the exact plant shown in the photographs.

Care Guide

Light

Variegated Anthuriums need plenty of bright, indirect light to maintain their variegation and encourage healthy growth.

Place the plant near a bright window with filtered light. An east-facing window is ideal, or a position slightly back from a south or west-facing window.

Avoid strong direct sunlight, as this can scorch the pale variegated sections of the leaves.

Watering

Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry slightly before watering.

Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain away. Anthuriums prefer lightly moist soil, but should never sit in water.

Overwatering can quickly lead to root rot, whilst allowing the plant to dry out completely may cause the leaf edges to brown.

Humidity

This plant thrives in moderate to high humidity, ideally 60% or more.

Higher humidity helps keep the leaves looking their best and can reduce browning around the white variegated sections.

A humidifier or bright bathroom can be beneficial, especially in drier homes.

Temperature

Keep your Anthurium between 18°C and 28°C.

Avoid cold draughts, sudden temperature changes and temperatures below 15°C.

Soil

Use a loose, airy and well-draining aroid mix.

A suitable mix may include:

Bark

Perlite

Coco coir or houseplant compost

A little sphagnum moss

This allows plenty of airflow around the roots whilst still retaining some moisture.

Feeding

Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser at half strength.

Reduce feeding during autumn and winter.

Leaf Browning and Older Leaves

A small amount of browning or marking on the older leaves is completely normal for a heavily variegated Anthurium, particularly on a mature specimen.

The white sections are naturally more sensitive and may brown slightly over time.
