Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. We collaborate exclusively with leading courier services, renowned for their reliability and exceptional handling practices, to ensure your plants arrive in perfect condition. Scindapsus ‘Silver Splash’ is a cultivar of Scindapsus pictus, known for its soft, velvety green leaves adorned with irregular silver patches and splashes. It’s often confused with other Scindapsus pictus types (like ‘Exotica’ or ‘Argyraeus’), but the ‘Silver Splash’ features more delicate, diffused silver markings that give the leaves a shimmery, almost painted look.
Leaves: Heart-shaped and slightly elongated, with a velvety texture and soft silver speckles that vary from leaf to leaf. More mature leaves may show increased silvering.
Growth Habit: A trailing or climbing vine. Great for hanging baskets or training up a moss pole or trellis.
Size: Leaves can reach 8–12 cm long indoors; vines can grow over 1.5 metres with support.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight may fade or scorch the leaves.
Can tolerate moderate to low light, but the silver variegation may become less pronounced.
Not suited to very low light conditions long-term.
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry.
Scindapsus prefers slightly moist soil but is sensitive to overwatering.
In winter, reduce watering and let the soil dry a bit more between drinks.
Temperature: Likes warmth—ideally between 18–26°C. Protect from temperatures below 12°C.
Humidity: Does well in average indoor humidity (40–60%), but appreciates a boost. Higher humidity encourages lush growth and larger leaves.
If leaves start curling or edges brown, it may need more humidity.
Prefers a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Try:
1 part potting soil
1 part perlite or pumice
1 part orchid bark or coco husk
This ensures moisture retention without waterlogging.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength.
No need to fertilise in winter when growth slows.
Repot every 1–2 years, or when roots begin circling the pot.
Use a pot with drainage holes to prevent root rot.
Prune to maintain shape or encourage fuller growth by trimming leggy vines.
Cuttings can be rooted in water or moss—great for propagation.
Can be trained to climb a moss pole or allowed to cascade naturally.
Pests: May attract mealybugs, spider mites, or scale in dry conditions—wipe leaves regularly and check undersides.
Yellow leaves: Often a sign of overwatering or poor drainage.
Leaf curl: Usually due to underwatering or low humidity.
Clean leaves gently with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep the silver variegation vibrant.
Rotate the plant every couple of weeks for even growth.
If grown in low light, don’t expect rapid growth—but it will still survive beautifully.
