The Calathea Roseo is a beautiful plant that features round leaves with dark green edges which emerge bright pink but eventually fade to light green. Calatheas are native to tropical America and grow underneath the canopies in the rainforest. They require plenty of diffused light as direct sunlight can cause the leaves to fade and lose their striking markings. Due to its tropical origins, the Calathea thrives in high humidity so you'll need to mist it frequently or place it near the shower every now and again for a boost of humidity. Keep in damp soil at all times but do not allow it to sit in water or very wet soil.
