Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Anthurium andreanum ‘Vanilla’, also known as the Vanilla Anthurium, White Flamingo Flower, or Painter’s Palette, is an elegant tropical plant celebrated for its creamy-white spathes and glossy green foliage. A member of the Araceae family and native to the rainforests of Colombia and Ecuador, this variety brings timeless beauty and sophistication to any indoor space.
The plant’s signature flowers are not true blooms but spathes — waxy, heart-shaped modified leaves surrounding a slender spadix. In ‘Vanilla’, the spathes are a soft, creamy-white with a subtle yellow or pale green tint, complemented by deep green, leathery leaves. The contrast between the bright white “flowers” and the rich green foliage makes it a striking centrepiece for modern homes and offices.
Compact, long-flowering, and easy to care for, Anthurium ‘Vanilla’ adds a touch of tropical elegance year-round, producing its distinctive blooms for many months at a time.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can scorch the spathes and leaves, while too little light may reduce flowering. A bright room with filtered daylight is ideal to encourage regular blooms.
Keep the soil lightly moist, watering when the top 2–3 cm feels dry. Anthuriums prefer consistent moisture but dislike waterlogging. Allow excess water to drain freely and reduce watering slightly during winter.
Temperature: Prefers warmth, 20–28°C. Avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity (60–80%). Mist regularly or use a humidifier to maintain lush foliage and healthy blooms.
Use a light, free-draining mix, such as peat-free houseplant compost blended with orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir. Anthuriums are semi-epiphytic and appreciate an airy substrate. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the mix and encourage new growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a high-potassium fertiliser to promote blooming. Avoid over-fertilising, which can lead to leaf burn. Stop feeding in autumn and winter.
Remove faded spathes and any yellowing leaves at the base to maintain a neat appearance. Wipe the leaves with a soft, damp cloth to keep them glossy and free of dust.
A moderate grower, typically reaching 40–60 cm tall indoors. Under the right conditions, Anthurium ‘Vanilla’ will flower several times a year, with each spathe lasting for up to 8–12 weeks.
Brown edges or tips: Low humidity or watering with hard water.
Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
No flowers: Insufficient light or lack of nutrients.
Pests: Occasionally mealybugs, thrips, or aphids — treat promptly with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Anthurium andreanum has been cultivated for over a century for its striking spathes and tropical appeal. The ‘Vanilla’ cultivar offers a softer, more neutral alternative to the classic red Anthurium, fitting seamlessly into light, airy interiors.
In addition to its beauty, this plant is also an air purifier, filtering common indoor pollutants while bringing calm and freshness to your space. Its long-lasting blooms make it a favourite gift plant, symbolising hospitality and happiness.
