Calathea Yellow Fusion Prayer Plant House Plant 6cm Pot
Calathea Fusion Yellow (also known as Calathea 'White Fusion') is a stunning variety of Calathea that has variegated leaves with different shades of green and Yellow, almost appearing to have white hue at times. They are slightly tricky to care for but absolutely worth the effort. Here is a care guide:

Light: Calathea Fusion Yellow prefers indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, causing them to lose their beautiful variegation. It can thrive in medium light but will grow best in bright, indirect light.

Water: Water your Calathea when the top 1-2 inches of the soil are dry. The plant likes to be kept consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Always use water at room temperature, and if possible, use rainwater or distilled water as Calatheas can be sensitive to the minerals in tap water.

Temperature: These plants prefer a warm environment. Keep the temperature between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Avoid sudden temperature changes and cold drafts.

Humidity: High humidity is crucial for Calatheas. They thrive in a humidity level of at least 50%. You can increase humidity by using a pebble tray, a humidifier, or placing your plant in a naturally humid room, like a bathroom.

Soil: A well-draining potting mix is essential for Calathea. A mix of 2 parts peat or coco coir, 1 part perlite, and 1 part compost is a good blend.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can cause the leaf tips to burn.

Repotting: Calathea Fusion Yellow doesn't need to be repotted very often, typically every 2 years or so. Spring is the best time to do this.

Propagation: This plant can be propagated by division during repotting. Simply separate the plant into two or more sections and plant each in its own pot.

Pests and Problems: Watch for common houseplant pests such as spider mites, mealybugs, and aphids. Brown leaf tips may be a sign of low humidity or water quality issue. Curling leaves can be a sign of underwatering.
Remember, the key to successful Calathea care is moisture and warmth. They require more attention compared to other houseplants, but with patience and care, they will reward you with their stunning foliage.
