Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado', commonly known as the Dorado Dragon Tree, is a striking evergreen houseplant admired for its broad, glossy green leaves edged with vibrant lime-green margins. A cultivar of the popular Corn Plant, this tropical beauty is prized for its bold foliage, upright growth and exceptional ease of care, making it an excellent choice for both homes and offices.
Native to tropical regions of Africa, Dracaena fragrans is well known for its ability to thrive in a wide range of indoor conditions. The 'Dorado' variety stands out thanks to its lush, rich green foliage with contrasting bright green edges, creating a fresh and contemporary look that suits modern and traditional interiors alike.
Growing from sturdy woody canes, Dracaena 'Dorado' develops into an elegant indoor tree that adds height and structure without requiring extensive maintenance. Its excellent tolerance of average household conditions makes it one of the most reliable and beginner-friendly houseplants available.
Indoors, Dracaena 'Dorado' typically reaches 1.2–2.5 metres in height, depending on the size of the pot and growing conditions.
Dracaena 'Dorado' grows best in bright, indirect light but is highly adaptable and also performs well in moderate light conditions.
Position it near an east or west-facing window, or a few metres back from a bright south-facing window. While it tolerates lower light, brighter conditions encourage stronger growth and healthier foliage.
Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh direct sunlight, which may scorch the leaves.
Allow the top 3–5cm of compost to dry before watering thoroughly.
Water until excess moisture drains from the base of the pot, then empty any remaining water from the saucer or decorative pot. Dracaena 'Dorado' is more tolerant of slight underwatering than overwatering.
Reduce watering during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.
Average household humidity is perfectly suitable for Dracaena 'Dorado'.
Although it appreciates slightly higher humidity, it performs well in most indoor environments without requiring regular misting.
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 27°C.
Avoid temperatures below 12°C, and keep the plant away from cold draughts, open doors and direct heat from radiators.
Use a free-draining, nutrient-rich houseplant compost mixed with perlite or horticultural grit to improve drainage.
Always grow in a pot with drainage holes.
Feed every 4 weeks throughout spring and summer using a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser.
Reduce feeding during autumn and stop during winter while the plant is growing more slowly.
Repot every 2–3 years, or when the roots begin filling the pot.
Choose a container only one size larger than the existing pot and repot during spring.
Dracaena 'Dorado' has a slow to moderate growth rate.
Expected indoor size:
Height: 1.2–2.5m
Spread: 60–100cm
Its upright growth habit makes it ideal for corners, offices and areas where floor space is limited.
Very little pruning is required.
Remove any yellow or damaged leaves as needed, and trim the canes if you wish to reduce the overall height or encourage branching.
Dracaena fragrans 'Dorado' is toxic if ingested and should be kept away from pets and young children.
It is particularly toxic to cats and dogs.
Brown leaf tips are commonly caused by:
Low humidity
Fluoride or chemicals in tap water
Underwatering
Salt build-up from fertiliser
Using filtered or rainwater where possible can help reduce tip browning.
Yellow leaves are usually caused by overwatering or poor drainage.
Allow the compost to dry slightly before watering again and ensure excess water drains away freely.
Older lower leaves naturally yellow and drop as the plant matures.
Soft or mushy stems usually indicate root rot caused by excessive watering.
Reduce watering immediately and inspect the root system if necessary.
Slow growth is normal during winter but may also indicate insufficient light or a lack of nutrients during the growing season.
Move the plant to a brighter location if needed.
Occasionally affected by:
Spider mites
Mealybugs
Scale insects
Inspect the foliage regularly and treat infestations promptly with a suitable houseplant insecticide or insecticidal soap.
