Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. We collaborate exclusively with leading courier services, renowned for their reliability and exceptional handling practices, to ensure your plants arrive in perfect condition. Sansevieria ‘Hahnii’, commonly known as the Bird’s Nest Snake Plant, is a dwarf cultivar of the classic Sansevieria with a distinctive rosette-shaped growth habit. Its short, broad, and slightly cupped leaves form a tight, spiralling cluster that resembles a nest – hence the name. The foliage is typically deep green with silver-grey horizontal banding, and some varieties (like ‘Golden Hahnii’ or ‘Silver Hahnii’) showcase striking variegation.
This compact, slow-growing variety is perfect for small spaces – from desktops to bedside tables – offering the architectural charm of larger snake plants in a space-saving form. Like all Sansevierias, it’s hardy, drought-tolerant, and air-purifying, making it a top choice for low-maintenance plant lovers.
🌿 Botanical name: Sansevieria trifasciata ‘Hahnii’ (also known as Dracaena trifasciata ‘Hahnii’)
🪴 Common name: Bird’s Nest Snake Plant
🌤 Light: Tolerates low light but thrives in bright, indirect light
💧 Watering: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings
🌡 Temperature: 16–30°C; protect from frost
🧴 Humidity: Handles typical household humidity well
🐾 Toxicity: ❌ Mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested
Adaptable to various light levels – from low to bright indirect light. It does best in bright, filtered light, where growth and colour are more vibrant. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which may scorch the leaves.
💡 Great for offices, bedrooms, bathrooms, or shaded windowsills.
Water only when the soil is completely dry. Typically every 2–3 weeks in summer and less in winter. Overwatering is the main risk – always use pots with drainage holes.
🚫 Do not let the plant sit in water. Sansevierias are prone to root rot.
Tolerates normal indoor humidity levels without any issues. It’s a good choice for dry air environments and centrally heated homes.
Thrives between 16–30°C. Keep away from cold draughts and never expose to temperatures below 10°C.
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. You can also mix standard compost with perlite or coarse sand for better drainage.
Feed once every 6–8 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted cactus fertiliser. No feeding is necessary in autumn and winter.
Easily propagated through division during repotting
Leaf cuttings can also be used, but may not retain variegation
Mushy or yellowing leaves: Overwatering or waterlogged soil
Wrinkled leaves: Underwatering or prolonged drought
Brown edges or tips: Stress from drafts, dryness, or damage
Faded leaf colour: Low light or ageing foliage
Ideal for small shelves, tabletops, and plant clusters
Pairs well with ceramic pots in neutral or earth tones
Perfect in low-light nooks or minimalist interiors
