Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Dracaena fragrans 'Warneckei', commonly known as the Warneckei Dragon Tree, is a stylish and low-maintenance houseplant admired for its long, sword-shaped leaves decorated with striking green, grey and creamy-white stripes. Native to tropical Africa, this elegant cultivar is one of the most popular Dracaena varieties thanks to its architectural form, adaptability and ability to thrive in a wide range of indoor environments.
Its upright stems are crowned with dense rosettes of variegated foliage, creating a clean, contemporary look that suits both modern homes and professional spaces. The contrasting leaf markings brighten indoor areas and add year-round interest, making Dracaena 'Warneckei' an excellent choice for living rooms, offices, hallways and reception areas.
Renowned for its resilience and ease of care, Dracaena 'Warneckei' is ideal for beginners and busy plant owners. It tolerates average household conditions well and requires only minimal maintenance to remain healthy and attractive.
Indoors, it typically grows to 1.2–2.5 metres in height, depending on the size of the pot and growing conditions.
Dracaena 'Warneckei' thrives in bright, indirect light, where its variegated foliage will remain vibrant.
It also tolerates moderate light levels, although growth may be slower and the leaf markings may become less pronounced. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Allow the top 3–5cm of compost to dry out before watering thoroughly.
Water until excess moisture drains from the bottom of the pot, then empty any decorative pot or saucer. Dracaena prefers slightly dry conditions between waterings and is much more tolerant of underwatering than overwatering.
Reduce watering during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.
Average household humidity is perfectly suitable for Dracaena 'Warneckei'.
Although it enjoys slightly higher humidity, it adapts well to normal indoor conditions and rarely requires additional humidity.
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 27°C.
Avoid temperatures below 12°C, and protect the plant from cold draughts, air conditioning and sudden temperature fluctuations.
Use a free-draining, nutrient-rich houseplant compost.
Adding perlite or horticultural grit will improve drainage and help prevent root rot.
Always use a pot with drainage holes.
Feed every 4 weeks during spring and summer using a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser.
Reduce feeding during autumn and stop feeding during winter while the plant is growing more slowly.
Repot every 2–3 years, or when the roots begin filling the pot.
Move into a pot only one size larger and repot during spring where possible.
Dracaena 'Warneckei' has a slow to moderate growth rate.
Expected indoor size:
Height: 1.2–2.5m
Spread: 60–100cm
Its upright growth habit makes it ideal for smaller spaces where floor space is limited.
Very little pruning is required.
Remove yellow or damaged leaves as they appear. If the plant becomes too tall, the cane can be cut back during spring, encouraging fresh shoots to develop below the cut.
Dracaena fragrans 'Warneckei' is toxic if ingested and should be kept away from pets and young children.
It is particularly toxic to cats and dogs.
Brown tips are commonly caused by:
Low humidity
Fluoride or chlorine in tap water
Underwatering
Salt build-up from fertiliser
Using filtered or rainwater where possible can help minimise leaf tip browning.
Yellow leaves are usually caused by overwatering or poor drainage.
Allow the compost to dry slightly before watering again and ensure excess water drains away freely.
Older lower leaves naturally yellow and fall as the plant matures.
Soft or mushy stems often indicate root rot caused by excessive watering.
Reduce watering immediately and check the roots if necessary.
Slow growth is normal during winter but may also result from insufficient light or a lack of nutrients during the growing season.
Move the plant to a brighter position and feed regularly throughout spring and summer.
Occasionally affected by:
Spider mites
Mealybugs
Scale insects
Inspect the leaves regularly and treat infestations promptly using a suitable houseplant insecticide or insecticidal soap.
Yes. Dracaena 'Warneckei' is one of the easiest indoor plants to grow and is ideal for beginners thanks to its adaptability and low-maintenance requirements.
Water when the top few centimetres of compost have dried out. It is better to underwater slightly than overwater.
Yes. It tolerates moderate light well, although bright, indirect light produces stronger growth and more vibrant variegation.
Brown tips are commonly caused by dry air, minerals in tap water or inconsistent watering. Using filtered water and maintaining regular watering usually helps.
With good care, it typically grows between 1.2 and 2.5 metres, making it an excellent upright feature plant for homes and offices.
