Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Philodendron Mayoi is a striking and unusual tropical aroid admired for its deeply lobed foliage and elegant growth habit. Native to the rainforests of Brazil, this beautiful species is often mistaken for a palm at first glance due to its distinctive leaf shape, but it is in fact a climbing Philodendron that develops increasingly dramatic foliage as it matures.
The glossy green leaves are heavily divided into multiple narrow lobes, giving the plant a bold, architectural appearance that stands out in any houseplant collection. As the plant climbs and establishes itself on a moss pole or support, the foliage becomes larger and more impressive, creating a lush tropical display.
Philodendron mayoi combines the exotic appearance of a rare collector's plant with the relatively straightforward care requirements that Philodendrons are known for, making it suitable for both experienced growers and enthusiastic beginners.
Philodendron mayoi thrives in bright, indirect light.
Position near an east, west or bright north-facing window.
Bright filtered light encourages healthy growth and larger leaves.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
Lower light levels may result in slower growth and smaller leaves.
Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry between waterings.
Water thoroughly when required.
Allow excess water to drain away freely.
Avoid allowing the plant to sit in water.
The compost should remain lightly moist but never waterlogged.
Prefers moderate to high humidity.
Ideal humidity: 50–70%.
Benefits from increased humidity, particularly during active growth.
Keep away from radiators and dry air sources.
Ideal temperatures:
18°C–28°C
Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 12°C.
Use a chunky, free-draining aroid mix.
A suitable mix may contain:
Houseplant compost
Orchid bark
Perlite
Coco chips
Good airflow around the roots helps promote healthy growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer.
Use a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser.
Apply at half strength during active growth.
Reduce feeding during autumn and winter.
Philodendron mayoi is naturally a climbing plant.
Benefits greatly from a moss pole or trellis.
Produces larger and more mature foliage when given support.
Can also be grown as a trailing plant when young.
Providing support encourages stronger growth and more dramatic leaf development.
Repot every 1–2 years or when roots begin to outgrow the pot.
Choose a container with drainage holes.
Increase pot size gradually.
Refresh the compost during repotting.
