Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Begonia rex ‘Lime Fever’ is a dazzling foliage begonia variety from the Rex Begonia group, renowned for their extraordinary ornamental leaves. Native to the humid forests of India and surrounding regions, Rex begonias are grown not for flowers but for their stunning foliage, which in this cultivar delivers a truly eye-catching burst of colour.
The leaves of ‘Lime Fever’ are broad, asymmetrical, and textured with a slightly crinkled surface. Their main attraction is the vivid lime-green base, often splashed or patterned with deep burgundy, silver, and chocolate tones. The combination of neon-bright greens with darker, contrasting veins creates a bold, almost electric look. Each leaf is unique, with swirling patterns that change slightly depending on the age of the foliage and the amount of light it receives.
Typically, this plant remains compact, growing to around 20–30 cm tall and wide. It makes an ideal tabletop or windowsill feature, providing a bright splash of colour where other plants might fade into the background.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the thin leaves. Too little light may cause the lime colouring to dull and growth to slow.
Keep the soil evenly moist, watering when the top 2–3 cm feels dry. Begonias are sensitive to overwatering, so ensure pots have good drainage and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water. In winter, reduce watering as growth slows.
Temperature: Prefers 18–24°C. Protect from draughts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity: Requires high humidity (60%+). Mist lightly, place on a pebble tray, or use a humidifier to prevent leaf edges crisping.
Use a light, airy, free-draining peat-free compost with added perlite or orchid bark. Rex begonias enjoy shallow pots as their root systems are not deep. Repot every 1–2 years in spring.
Feed every 2–3 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertiliser. Stop feeding in autumn and winter.
Remove faded or damaged leaves promptly to keep the plant tidy. Pinching young growth encourages a fuller plant.
Compact and clumping, usually 20–30 cm tall and wide. The colourful leaves remain decorative year-round under the right conditions.
Crisp brown edges: Caused by low humidity.
Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
Faded colour: Insufficient light.
Pests: May occasionally attract spider mites or mealybugs.
Rex begonias are among the most ornamental foliage plants available, and ‘Lime Fever’ is especially valued for its bold, lime-toned colouring. It brings instant vibrancy to interiors, especially when paired with darker-leaved plants. Perfect for collectors, stylists, or anyone wanting a small but dramatic foliage plant.
