Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Begonia rex ‘Liondance’ is a striking cultivar of the Rex Begonia group (Begonia rex-cultorum), renowned for its flamboyant foliage and unique colour palette. Native to tropical regions of India and neighbouring areas, Rex begonias have long been admired for their ornamental leaves rather than their flowers.
‘Liondance’ is especially eye-catching with its bold, spiralled foliage. The leaves are asymmetrical and textured, with a central zone of deep burgundy to black, radiating outwards into metallic silvers, greens, and purples, often with rose or magenta accents. The combination of these colours creates a lively, almost theatrical appearance that justifies its name. Under bright, indirect light, the metallic tones shimmer, enhancing the plant’s dramatic effect.
Typically, Begonia rex ‘Liondance’ grows 25–35 cm tall and wide, forming a compact mound of colourful leaves. While it may produce small clusters of pinkish blooms, its true attraction is its ever-changing, vividly patterned foliage.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sun can scorch the thin leaves, while too little light can cause colours to fade and growth to weaken.
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Keep the compost lightly moist but not soggy. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows, and avoid splashing water on leaves to prevent spotting.
Temperature: Prefers 18–24°C. Protect from cold draughts and avoid exposure below 15°C.
Humidity: Needs high humidity (60%+). Mist lightly, place on a pebble tray, or use a humidifier to prevent brown edges.
Use a light, airy, free-draining peat-free compost, ideally with added perlite or orchid bark. Rex begonias prefer shallow pots due to their fibrous roots. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the soil.
Feed every 2–3 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser. Do not feed in winter when the plant’s growth slows.
Remove old, faded, or damaged leaves to keep the plant neat and promote fresh growth. Pinch younger stems to encourage a fuller clump.
A compact, clump-forming begonia, growing to around 25–35 cm tall and wide. Provides colourful foliage year-round under the right conditions.
Crispy edges: Low humidity.
Faded patterns: Too little light.
Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
Pests: May attract spider mites, mealybugs, or aphids.
The Rex Begonia group is often called the “king of foliage plants,” and ‘Liondance’ exemplifies this reputation. With its vibrant swirls of colour and theatrical leaf patterns, it is a living artwork that enlivens shaded corners and modern interiors.
