Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Anthurium ‘Black Love’ is a dramatic and luxurious flowering Anthurium variety prized for its deep, velvety, almost black spathes and lush, glossy foliage. A member of the Araceae family and bred from tropical Anthurium hybrids, this captivating cultivar transforms any interior into a high-end botanical display with its rich colour palette and sculptural form.
The plant produces striking near-black blooms with a satin sheen and bold heart shape, cupping around a contrasting red or burgundy spadix. These long-lasting flowers stand proudly above a rosette of fresh, vibrant green leaves, creating an intense and elegant contrast. Compact yet impactful, Anthurium ‘Black Love’ is the perfect statement plant for those who enjoy bold, modern, and moody foliage arrangements.
Mysterious, classy, and eye-catching, this variety embodies tropical sophistication with a dark, romantic twist.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves or fade the deep tones of the blooms, while low light may reduce flowering. Position near an east- or north-facing window for consistent results.
Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Anthuriums dislike standing water — always ensure excellent drainage. Reduce watering slightly in winter, but do not allow the soil to fully dry out.
Temperature: Prefers warmth between 18–28 °C; avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 15 °C.
Humidity: High humidity (60–80%) supports glossy foliage and frequent blooms. Use a humidifier or place on a pebble tray if the air is dry.
Use a loose, well-draining aroid mix — compost combined with orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir works beautifully. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the substrate and stimulate growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted fertiliser formulated for blooming houseplants. Avoid over-feeding, which can damage roots or dull leaf colour. Suspend fertiliser in winter.
Remove older or fading flowers at the base to encourage new blooms. Trim yellowing or damaged leaves to maintain a fresh appearance. Wipe foliage gently with a damp cloth to keep leaves glossy and dust-free. Rotate occasionally for balanced growth.
A moderate grower, Anthurium ‘Black Love’ typically reaches 40–60 cm in height and width. With ideal care, it blooms throughout the year, producing dramatic dark spathes that last for weeks at a time.
Brown edges: Low humidity or underwatering.
Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
Lack of blooms: Low light or insufficient feeding.
Pests: May attract thrips, scale, or spider mites — treat promptly with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Anthurium ‘Black Love’ is a selectively bred hybrid chosen for its uniquely dark flowering spathes — a rare trait in the Anthurium world. Its near-black blooms offer dramatic visual contrast and a premium, designer aesthetic perfect for modern interiors.
Like other Anthuriums, it also helps improve indoor air quality by filtering pollutants such as ammonia and formaldehyde, while symbolically representing luxury, strength, and romantic devotion — fitting themes for a plant with such dramatic colouring.
