Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Tradescantia zebrina âQuadricolorâ, often referred to as Tradescantia Quadcolour or Wandering Jew Quadricolor, is a vibrant, fast-growing trailing houseplant celebrated for its vivid multicoloured foliage. A member of the Commelinaceae family and native to Central and South America, this striking cultivar is a true showstopper, combining four shades â green, silver, pink, and purple â in a single, eye-catching leaf.
Each leaf displays a dazzling mix of stripes and tones: emerald-green and silver bands across the upper surface, with bold magenta and violet undersides that add depth and vibrancy. The trailing stems spill beautifully from pots or hanging planters, creating a living cascade of jewel-toned foliage. Compact, colourful, and easy to care for, Tradescantia âQuadricolorâ is the perfect plant to inject energy and texture into your indoor jungle.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. The more light it receives, the more intense its colours will become. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and low light, which may cause fading and leggy growth. A bright windowsill with filtered light is ideal.
Keep the soil lightly moist, watering when the top 2â3 cm feels dry. Do not allow the plant to sit in water, as Tradescantia roots are sensitive to soggy conditions. Reduce watering slightly in winter but donât let the soil dry out completely.
Temperature: Prefers warmth between 18â28 °C; avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 12 °C.
Humidity: Average indoor humidity is fine, but it will appreciate slightly higher humidity to maintain vibrant colours and prevent crispy leaf tips. Mist occasionally or group with other tropical plants.
Use a well-draining mix â a blend of compost, perlite, and a little sand works perfectly. Repot every 1â2 years in spring to refresh the soil and encourage fuller growth. Tradescantias prefer to be slightly snug in their pots.
Feed every 4â6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertiliser. Over-fertilising can lead to salt build-up or leggy growth, so feed sparingly. Suspend feeding during autumn and winter when growth slows.
Trim back long or straggly vines regularly to encourage bushier growth and maintain a compact shape. Pinch out stem tips to promote branching. Pruned cuttings root easily in water or soil, making propagation simple. Wipe leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and highlight their sheen.
A fast grower under the right conditions, Tradescantia âQuadricolorâ can trail up to 60â90 cm indoors. Regular pruning encourages dense, colourful growth and a full, cascading appearance.
Faded colour: Insufficient light.
Brown tips: Low humidity or underwatering.
Leggy growth: Not enough light or lack of pruning.
Pests: Occasionally affected by spider mites or aphids â treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Native to tropical forests of Mexico and Central America, Tradescantia zebrina species grow as groundcovers or trailing vines under filtered light. The âQuadricolorâ cultivar was bred for its enhanced variegation and vivid blend of pink, silver, and green tones.
This plant is not only decorative but also one of the easiest houseplants to grow and propagate. Itâs excellent for beginners and perfect for adding instant colour to interior displays. While not a major air purifier, its vibrant foliage symbolises creativity, resilience, and connection â a bright and joyful addition to your plant family.
Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid harsh sun

Showcase Tradescantia âQuadricolorâ in a hanging basket or on a high shelf where its cascading vines can trail freely, allowing its iridescent hues to catch the light. It also thrives in macramĂŠ hangers, adding a splash of colour to neutral interiors. Pair with green tropicals like Philodendron âMicansâ or Epipremnum âNâJoyâ to make its vibrant pinks and purples stand out even more. Perfect for bright kitchens, bedrooms, or offices, this lively plant adds instant cheer and personality to any indoor setting.
