Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Codiaeum variegatum ‘Mammi’, more commonly known as Croton Mammi, is a vibrant, sculptural tropical plant prized for its twisting leaves and kaleidoscopic colour palette. Native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, this compact variety of Croton is celebrated for its striking mix of green, red, yellow, orange, and purple hues, all displayed on curling, ribbon-like foliage.
Each leaf twists and spirals as it grows, creating an eye-catching, sculptural form that looks like living art. The variegation patterns shift throughout the seasons — new growth often emerges bright green with splashes of yellow or red, maturing into deeper tones of burgundy and bronze. Under strong light, Croton Mammi becomes a true showstopper, radiating energy and tropical warmth in any interior or garden space.
Compact, colourful, and endlessly expressive, Codiaeum variegatum ‘Mammi’ is a living statement piece that brings a bold, artistic flair to any plant collection or tropical design scheme.
Thrives in bright, indirect light or partial sun. For best colour intensity, provide several hours of filtered sunlight each day. Too little light will cause the variegation to fade, while direct midday sun can scorch the leaves. Ideal placement is near an east- or west-facing window with diffused light.
Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Crotons are sensitive to inconsistent watering — allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings but never completely. Use lukewarm, filtered water where possible. During winter, reduce watering slightly but avoid long dry spells.
Temperature: Prefers warm conditions between 20–30 °C; avoid temperatures below 15 °C.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier to prevent leaf curling or drop, especially in dry indoor air.
Use a well-draining tropical potting mix, such as compost blended with perlite and a small amount of sand. This keeps the roots aerated while holding enough moisture. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the soil and support healthy growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertiliser or one formulated for tropical foliage plants. Stop feeding in autumn and winter when the plant’s growth slows.
Prune lightly to maintain the desired shape and remove any leggy or damaged stems. Wipe leaves gently with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and enhance their natural shine. Rotate the plant periodically to encourage even growth and balanced colour development.
A moderate grower, Croton Mammi typically reaches 60–100 cm in height and 40–60 cm in width indoors. In outdoor tropical settings, it can grow even taller. Its upright, twisting stems and vibrant foliage make it ideal for use as a focal plant or in colourful mixed displays.
Leaf drop: Caused by sudden temperature changes or low humidity.
Faded colour: Insufficient light or overwatering.
Brown edges: Low humidity or cold air exposure.
Pests: Occasionally spider mites or mealybugs; treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Codiaeum variegatum is native to the tropical forests of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the western Pacific islands, where it grows in warm, bright, and humid environments. The ‘Mammi’ variety is distinguished by its compact size and curling leaves, which add a sculptural element not often seen in other Crotons.
This species has long been a symbol of vibrancy and vitality, representing energy and creativity in tropical décor. In addition to its ornamental value, Crotons are also efficient air purifiers, helping to filter toxins and improve indoor air quality. Their resilience and colour versatility make them ideal for modern homes, conservatories, or bright office spaces.

Its twisting leaves and rainbow hues make it perfect for bright living spaces, entryways, or sunrooms. Pair it with dark-leaved plants like Philodendron ‘Dark Lord’ or silver-foliage species such as Scindapsus pictus ‘Silver Hero’ for contrast. Outdoors, it works beautifully as a colourful focal point or border accent in tropical garden designs.
