Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Alocasia ‘New Guinea Gold’ is an exceptionally eye-catching and uncommon Alocasia prized for its dramatic foliage and rich golden tones. This tropical collector plant produces elongated, arrow-shaped leaves with deep green upper surfaces contrasted by warm golden-yellow to bronze veining and stems. Depending on maturity and growing conditions, the foliage can develop an almost metallic appearance, creating a striking contrast that makes it stand out in any collection.
Native Alocasia relatives originate from tropical rainforests where they grow in warm, humid environments beneath tree canopies. ‘New Guinea Gold’ carries that same exotic jungle appearance but adds brighter colouration and a more unusual aesthetic. New leaves often emerge with bronze or copper hues before hardening into deeper tones as they mature.
Its upright growth habit and sculptural foliage make it an ideal statement plant for shelves, decorative pots or plant cabinets where its colours can be appreciated up close.
Bright, indirect light is essential for healthy growth and strong colour development.
Ideal placement:
Too little light may lead to:
Avoid harsh direct afternoon sun which can scorch foliage.
Alocasia ‘New Guinea Gold’ enjoys lightly moist soil but dislikes sitting in water.
Allow the top 2–4cm of soil to dry before watering thoroughly.
General guide:
Spring/Summer: every 5–8 days
Autumn/Winter: every 10–14 days
Consistency is important.

Recommended blend:
The goal is moisture retention with excellent airflow.
Alocasias are relatively hungry plants during active growth.
Feed:
Reduce feeding during winter.
Like many Alocasias, growth can slow significantly during cooler periods.
You may notice:
Reduce watering slightly during these periods.
