With Plants for all Seasons's Live Delivery Guarantee, you can shop with complete peace of mind, knowing that your green investments are protected from our nursery to your doorstep.
Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. We collaborate exclusively with leading courier services, renowned for their reliability and exceptional handling practices, to ensure your plants arrive in perfect condition. Alocasia ‘Pink Dragon’ is a striking tropical houseplant known for its deep green, slightly glossy foliage and distinctive soft pink stems. The dramatic contrast between the dark leaves and blush-toned petioles gives it a bold, modern look.
Belonging to the Alocasia genus, ‘Pink Dragon’ has an upright, architectural growth habit and compact size, making it ideal for shelves, plant stands or statement corners.
It offers the drama Alocasias are loved for, but in a more manageable size compared to larger varieties.
🌿 Deep green, shield-shaped leaves
🌿 Soft pink to blush stems
🌿 Upright, architectural growth
🌿 Compact yet statement-making
🌿 Ideal for bright interiors
Bright, indirect light is essential.
East or west-facing windows are ideal
Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch leaves
Too little light may result in smaller, weaker growth
Strong filtered light keeps stems vibrant and growth steady.
Alocasia ‘Pink Dragon’ prefers evenly moist soil.
Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry
Keep soil lightly moist in spring and summer
Reduce watering in autumn and winter
Important:
Never allow roots to sit in water
Use pots with drainage holes
Overwatering is the most common cause of yellowing leaves.
High humidity helps this plant thrive.
Ideal range: 60%+
Benefits from a humidifier
Avoid dry air from radiators
Low humidity may cause brown edges or curling.
Ideal: 18–26°C
Avoid temperatures below 15°C
Protect from draughts and sudden temperature changes
Alocasias dislike fluctuating conditions.
Use a well-draining yet moisture-retentive mix:
Peat-free houseplant compost
Perlite
Orchid bark
The goal is good airflow with consistent moisture.
Feed during active growth (March–September):
Balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–4 weeks
Reduce or stop feeding in winter
Avoid overfeeding to prevent salt build-up.
Upright and clump-forming
Typically grows 40–60cm tall
Produces new leaves from a central rhizome
Older leaves may naturally yellow and drop as new growth appears.
In cooler months, growth may slow significantly.
Reduce watering
Keep warm and bright
Do not fertilise
Some leaf drop during winter can be normal.
Best propagated by division:
Remove plant from pot
Separate offsets from the rhizome
Repot into fresh soil
Propagation is easiest in spring.
Yellow leaves
Overwatering
Brown leaf edges
Low humidity
Drooping leaves
Inconsistent watering or temperature stress
Spider mites
Common in dry air — check undersides regularly
Beautiful contrast against neutral walls
Pairs well with dark foliage plants
Looks striking in matte black or pale ceramic pots
Ideal for modern, minimalist interiors
With its pink stems and dark foliage, this variety also sits beautifully within a colourful foliage collection.
Like other Alocasias, it is toxic if ingested by pets or humans. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
