Arabis (also known as rock cress) are hardy alpine perennials valued for their ability to create vibrant, spreading mats of colour in early spring. These high-performing, low-growing plants produce masses of small, four-petalled flowers in shades of white and deep rose pink, sitting just above neat, evergreen foliage. Typically reaching 10–20 cm tall with a wider spreading habit, they are ideal for softening edges, cascading over walls, filling gaps in rockeries and adding seasonal brightness to borders and patio containers.
