The bay tree (Laurus nobilis) is one of the most versatile and enduring evergreens available to UK gardeners. Supplied at approximately 60–70 cm tall in a 3-litre nursery pot, this well-established culinary evergreen is ready to grow on straight away. Whether positioned on a patio, balcony, porch or used as a garden focal point, its glossy, aromatic foliage provides year-round structure and ornamental appeal β€” whilst doubling as a practical kitchen herb.

Equally suited to life in a container or planted directly into garden soil, the bay tree is a considered choice for both formal and informal settings. It can be trained into classic topiary forms or left to grow more naturally. Its adaptability also makes it a thoughtful and long-lasting gift for gardeners of all experience levels.

What You Receive:

  • 1 x Bay Tree (Laurus nobilis), approximately 60–70 cm tall
  • Supplied in a 3-litre nursery pot
  • Well-established, healthy plant, ready to grow on

Plant Growing Conditions:

This culinary bay tree is frost hardy and provides year-round evergreen structure in UK gardens. It thrives in a full sun position but is equally tolerant of partial shade, making it a flexible choice for patios, balconies, porches and sheltered garden borders. It grows well in an outdoor container or planter, and can also be kept as an indoor specimen in a cool, bright room. Its aromatic, fragrant foliage makes it as useful in the kitchen as it is ornamental in the garden.
