This elegant 5 litre Bay Tree (Laurus nobilis) is presented in a classic standard form, featuring a clear, straight stem topped with a lush, dense canopy of deep green, aromatic foliage. A timeless choice for patios, formal gardens, and entranceways, this standard bay tree combines striking year-round structure with genuine practical value — its leaves are fully culinary and can be harvested at any time for everyday use in the kitchen.

Supplied in a 5 litre nursery pot, this plant arrives established and ready to display or pot on into a decorative container of your choice. Its well-proportioned form makes it ideal as a pair of statement patio plants, a formal focal point, or a smart addition to both contemporary and traditional garden settings.

Plant Growing Conditions

This evergreen bay tree is winter hardy and thrives across the UK in a position offering full sun to partial shade. It performs well as a patio plant, formal topiary specimen, or container-grown garden feature, and can also be kept in a bright, sheltered indoor spot. The classic standard stem lends itself beautifully to topiary maintenance, and the naturally neat growth habit makes it straightforward to keep in shape with light clipping. The bay tree is equally suited as a standalone specimen, as part of a formal planting scheme, or even as a productive culinary bay hedge.
