Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. We collaborate exclusively with leading courier services, renowned for their reliability and exceptional handling practices, to ensure your plants arrive in perfect condition. Peperomia ‘Crème Brûlée’ is a charming and beautifully variegated foliage plant, adored for its warm, dessert-toned leaves and soft, compact form. Part of the Piperaceae family and native to tropical regions of Central and South America, this cultivar is celebrated for its creamy, caramel-like variegation that gives the plant its delicious name.
The leaves are round to heart-shaped with a thick, succulent-like texture. Each leaf displays a unique marbling of creamy vanilla, warm butterscotch, soft greens, and subtle golden tones — often with darker edges that mimic the caramelised top of a crème brûlée. The foliage grows densely along short stems, forming a neat, mounded plant that looks both elegant and playful.
With its compact size, tactile leaves, and naturally ornamental variegation, Peperomia ‘Crème Brûlée’ is perfect for shelves, desks, terrariums, and small-space styling. Its warm-toned foliage makes it an ideal companion for earthy décor palettes or cosy interior designs.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. The warm variegation becomes more pronounced with good lighting. Tolerates medium light well, but avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves or fade the creamy tones.
Allow the top 3–4 cm of soil to dry between waterings. As a semi-succulent Peperomia, it stores moisture in its thick leaves, making it more tolerant of underwatering than overwatering. Use a light hand when watering and reduce frequency in winter.
Temperature: Prefers 18–26 °C. Avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 12–14 °C.
Humidity: Performs well in average household humidity but appreciates slightly higher levels for lush growth. Avoid misting directly onto the leaves.
Use a light, airy, well-draining mix — such as a blend of peat-free compost, perlite, and fine bark. Peperomias dislike heavy, compact soils. Repot every 1–2 years into a slightly larger pot if roots begin to fill the container.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a gentle, balanced liquid fertiliser. Overfeeding can cause leaf tip burn or distortions.
Pinch back leggy stems to encourage a full, bushy shape. Remove any damaged or older leaves to maintain a tidy appearance. The thick leaves can be dusted carefully with a dry cloth.
A compact, slow to moderate grower typically reaching 15–25 cm in height and spread. Over time, it forms a dense, dome-shaped arrangement of variegated leaves.
Soft or translucent leaves: Overwatering.
Crispy edges: Underwatering or low humidity.
Fading variegation: Low light.
Pests: Watch for mealybugs hiding in leaf creases.
Peperomia ‘Crème Brûlée’ is a favourite among plant collectors and interior stylists for its warm, dessert-like colour palette and compact, versatile form. Its charming variegation adds a soft, cosy glow to plant arrangements, making it perfect for living rooms, desks, kitchens, and bedside tables.
Because of its semi-succulent nature, it’s an easy-care option ideal for beginners and seasoned plant lovers alike. Its small footprint also makes it well-suited to terrariums and mixed miniature plant displays.
