Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Sansevieria pinguicula is a rare, remarkable, and highly distinctive species prized for its thick, fleshy leaves, rosette form, and unique “walking” growth habit. Native to arid regions of Kenya and belonging to the Asparagaceae family, this succulent stands out from more common Sansevierias due to its fan-shaped rosettes, striking blue-green foliage, and stilt-like aerial roots that allow the plant to lift itself above the soil — a behaviour that gives it the name Walking Sansevieria.
The leaves are stiff, triangular, and sharply pointed with a powdery blue-grey to teal hue, often accented with fine, darker margins and subtle horizontal banding. Each leaf is thick, succulent, and beautifully geometric. As the plant matures, it produces pups on long, raised runners, which grow upwards on woody, exposed roots, giving the colony a fascinating, elevated appearance.
Compact, sculptural, and extremely drought-tolerant, Sansevieria pinguicula is a true collector’s species — perfect for those who appreciate rare succulents with unusual natural adaptations and strong architectural beauty.
Thrives in bright, indirect to full filtered sun. Can tolerate several hours of direct morning or late-afternoon sun. In very low light, growth slows significantly and leaf colour becomes greener. High light enhances its blue tones and compact rosette shape.
Exceptionally drought-tolerant. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In warm, bright conditions, water every 2–4 weeks; in winter, sometimes as little as once every 5–8 weeks. Overwatering is the only serious danger.
Temperature: Prefers warm, dry conditions between 20–32 °C. Tolerates heat extremely well. Avoid cold temperatures below 10–12 °C.
Humidity: Performs best in low to average humidity. Avoid high humidity environments, which can encourage rot.
Use a gritty, mineral-rich, fast-draining succulent mix. Ideal components include pumice, coarse sand, perlite, lava rock, and a small amount of compost. Terra cotta pots are strongly recommended to prevent moisture buildup. Repot only when pups crowd the pot.
Feed lightly every 6–8 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted cactus/succulent fertiliser. Do not fertilise in winter.
Minimal maintenance required. Remove old or dried leaves at the base. Clean dust from leaf surfaces periodically to enhance colour and photosynthesis.
A slow-growing species that reaches 15–25 cm in height. Mature plants produce upright rosettes and may form clusters standing on exposed roots — the signature “walking” effect. Pups develop slowly but reliably in good conditions.
Rot or mushy leaves: Almost always from overwatering.
Fading colour: Low light.
Wrinkled leaves: Underwatering (usually easily corrected).
Pests: Rare, but keep an eye out for mealybugs in dry indoor environments.
Sansevieria pinguicula is one of the most distinctive species in the genus, admired for its adaptive evolution and sculptural presence. Its stilt-root habit and upright rosettes make it look more like a miniature desert agave than a traditional snake plant.
Collectors value this species for its resilience, architectural form, and its ability to thrive in arid, low-maintenance conditions. Its blue-grey foliage pairs beautifully with minimalist interiors, natural stone textures, and modern design.
Because of its unusual growth, it’s often used as a conversation piece in succulent gardens, speciality collections, and curated indoor plant displays.
