Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Syngonium ‘White Butterfly’ is a timeless and elegant tropical houseplant admired for its soft green foliage brushed with silvery-white centres. A member of the Araceae family, it originates from the rainforests of Central and South America, where it thrives as a climbing or trailing vine beneath the forest canopy.
The arrow-shaped leaves of Syngonium ‘White Butterfly’ feature delicate white to pale green variegation through the centre, fading softly to fresh green edges — creating a graceful, wing-like effect that inspired its name. Young plants form compact rosettes, while mature specimens develop longer vines that can trail or climb when supported.
Beautiful, adaptable, and easy to care for, ‘White Butterfly’ brings a light, airy feel to any space — the perfect balance of elegance and resilience.
Thrives in bright, indirect light but will tolerate medium or lower light conditions. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may reduce variegation and slow growth. East- or north-facing windows are ideal, or filtered light in brighter spaces.
Keep the soil lightly moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch. Reduce watering slightly in winter when growth slows, but never allow the plant to dry out completely. Always ensure the pot has good drainage.
Temperature: Prefers warmth between 18–28 °C; avoid cold drafts or temperatures below 15 °C.
Humidity: Moderate humidity (50–70%) helps maintain lush growth and prevents crispy leaf tips. It adapts well to average indoor humidity but will appreciate occasional misting or placement near other tropical plants.
Use a well-draining, moisture-retentive mix — compost combined with perlite and a little coco coir or orchid bark works best. This blend keeps roots aerated and evenly moist. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh nutrients and encourage healthy growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertiliser. Avoid over-fertilising, as this can cause leaf tip burn. Stop feeding during autumn and winter.
Trim leggy or yellowing growth to keep a compact, tidy shape. Pruned stems can easily be propagated in water or soil to grow new plants. Wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep their soft sheen. Rotate the plant occasionally for even light exposure.
A moderately fast grower, Syngonium ‘White Butterfly’ typically reaches 40–60 cm in height and width indoors. As it matures, it may begin to vine, producing longer shoots that can trail or climb when given support. Regular pruning helps maintain a bushier form.
Yellow leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
Brown edges: Low humidity or inconsistent watering.
Loss of variegation: Insufficient light.
Pests: Occasionally affected by spider mites or mealybugs — treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Syngonium ‘White Butterfly’ is one of the most popular and enduring cultivars of Syngonium podophyllum, often grown for its versatility and easy care. Its name reflects the delicate, wing-like patterning of its leaves and its ability to “take flight” as a trailing vine when mature.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, it’s an excellent air purifier, helping to remove indoor toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. Symbolically, Syngoniums represent personal growth, transformation, and harmony — fitting qualities for a plant that changes shape as it matures.
