Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Green Lace’ is a graceful green lace-leaf Japanese maple, valued for its finely cut foliage, soft texture, and elegant cascading shape. It provides changing interest through the seasons — from its fresh green spring growth to vibrant autumn tones.
Foliage: Delicate, deeply dissected, lace-like leaves emerge bright lime to medium green in spring, remaining fresh and light through summer. In autumn, the foliage transforms into striking shades of gold, orange and sometimes tinged with crimson, creating a fiery display before leaf fall.
Habit: Forms a beautifully weeping, mounding shrub, typically reaching about 1.5–2 metres high with a broader spread of 2.5–3 metres, creating a lovely umbrella-like dome of foliage.
Bark: Smooth grey twigs give subtle winter interest and structure once the leaves have fallen.
This cultivar’s airy foliage and soft green colour make it a perfect companion to darker shrubs, evergreens or water features, and an ideal choice for Japanese-style gardens, woodland edges or as a specimen in a sheltered courtyard.
Prefers partial shade or dappled sunlight.
Can tolerate some morning sun, which helps promote vibrant autumn colour, but protect from hot afternoon sun which can scorch the finely cut leaves.
Always plant in a sheltered spot, out of strong winds.
Essential to avoid exposed, windy sites which can damage the delicate, dissected foliage and cause browning at the edges.
Likes soil to be consistently moist but well-drained.
Water thoroughly during dry periods, particularly in the first few years or if grown in pots.
Mulch annually in spring with compost or bark to retain moisture and keep roots cool.
Prefers slightly acidic to neutral, fertile, humus-rich soil.
Avoid heavy clay or very alkaline ground. If needed, plant in raised beds or containers using ericaceous compost mixed with grit for drainage.
Feed lightly in spring with a balanced slow-release fertiliser or a feed formulated for acers.
Avoid high-nitrogen fertilisers which produce lush, soft growth that is more prone to wind and frost damage.
Minimal pruning required.
Remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches in late autumn or winter while dormant.
Avoid heavy pruning which disrupts the natural cascading shape.
Generally pest-free and very low maintenance.
May occasionally see aphids on soft new growth.
Leaf scorch (brown edges or tips) is usually due to drought, strong winds or intense sun rather than disease.
Excellent choice for a large pot, making it suitable for patios or courtyard gardens.
Use ericaceous compost with added grit, ensure the pot drains well, and raise it on feet.
Keep consistently watered, and protect container roots from freezing in harsh winters by wrapping the pot or moving to a sheltered position.
