Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. Codiaeum variegatum ‘Mammi’, more commonly known as the Croton Mammi, is one of the most colourful and striking tropical foliage plants, celebrated for its bold, twisted leaves and vibrant variegation. A member of the Euphorbiaceae family and native to Southeast Asia and the western Pacific, this variety is prized for its sculptural form and kaleidoscope of colours that bring instant tropical energy to any room.
The glossy, narrow leaves twist and curl along the stems, displaying a dazzling mix of green, yellow, orange, red, and deep burgundy hues. Each leaf is unique, often shifting in colour intensity as it matures. Compact in size but rich in character, Croton Mammi is perfect for adding drama and warmth to interiors or bright conservatories.
With its vivid, painterly foliage and upright habit, this plant is ideal for anyone looking to bring a splash of tropical flair to their home décor.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. The more light it receives, the richer and more vibrant the leaf colouration will be. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and low light, which causes duller, greener foliage.
Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry, and ensure excess water drains freely. In winter, water less often but do not allow the soil to dry out completely. Crotons prefer consistent moisture levels.
Temperature: Prefers warmth, 20–28°C. Avoid draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity (50–70%) to maintain healthy foliage. Mist regularly or use a humidifier, especially during dry months.
Use a rich, well-draining, peat-free compost mixed with perlite or horticultural grit to improve drainage. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the soil and promote healthy root growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser, diluted to half strength. Pause feeding in autumn and winter.
Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves to encourage new growth. Lightly prune leggy stems in spring to maintain a compact shape. Wipe the glossy leaves with a damp cloth to keep them clean and enhance their vibrant shine.
A moderate grower, typically reaching 60–90 cm tall indoors. Over time, it forms an upright, bushy plant with a dense cluster of colourful, twisted leaves that seem to dance in the light.
Leaf drop: Caused by sudden temperature changes, low humidity, or overwatering.
Dull colouration: Insufficient light.
Brown edges: Low humidity or hard tap water — use filtered or rainwater if possible.
Pests: Occasionally mealybugs, thrips, or spider mites — wipe regularly and inspect under leaves.
Crotons (Codiaeum variegatum) have been beloved ornamental plants for centuries, valued for their bright colours and intricate leaf shapes. The ‘Mammi’ cultivar is particularly distinctive, with its curly, compact foliage and rainbow palette that intensifies in sunlight.
In addition to its visual appeal, Croton Mammi helps to enhance interior wellbeing by introducing vivid natural colour — proven to boost mood and reduce stress. Its sturdy form also makes it suitable as a feature plant in bright living spaces or tropical-themed interiors.
