Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. Ficus Lyrata, commonly known as the Fiddle Leaf Fig, is a popular indoor plant that has become a favorite among plant enthusiasts. This version is potted in a hydro pot which includes a watermeter.
Here are some care tips to help you keep your Ficus Lyrata healthy and thriving:
Light: Ficus Lyrata prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but avoid placing it in a spot that receives intense, direct sun, as this can scorch the leaves. If the plant is not getting enough light, its leaves will become dull and the new growth will be small and stunted.
Water: Water your Ficus Lyrata when the top inch of soil is dry. The plant prefers slightly moist soil, but can tolerate some drought. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Allow the water to drain out of the bottom of the pot and empty any excess water that accumulates in the saucer.
Humidity: Ficus Lyrata prefers moderate to high humidity. You can increase humidity by placing a humidifier near the plant or by placing a tray of water near the plant. Misting the leaves regularly can also help increase humidity.
Temperature: Ficus Lyrata prefers warm temperatures between 60-75°F (16-24°C). It can tolerate temperatures as low as 50°F (10°C), but avoid placing it in a drafty spot or near a cold window.
Fertilizer: You can fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Do not fertilize during the dormant season (fall and winter).
Pruning: You can prune the plant to control its size and shape or to remove any damaged or yellowing leaves. This will also help promote new growth. If you want the tree to grow taller, prune the lower branches to encourage upward growth.
Repotting: Ficus Lyrata does not require frequent repotting and can remain in the same pot for several years. Use a well-draining soil mix and a pot that is one size larger than the current pot.
Pests: Ficus Lyrata can be prone to spider mites and mealybugs. Inspect the plant regularly and treat any pests promptly with an appropriate insecticide.
Following these care tips will help your Ficus Lyrata thrive and stay healthy. With proper care, this beautiful plant can be a stunning addition to any indoor garden.
