Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Hoya rundumensis ‘Splash’ is a rare, beautifully speckled tropical vine celebrated for its silver-flecked foliage and clusters of richly coloured, fragrant blooms. Native to the forests of Borneo and named after the Rundum region in Sabah, this species is a standout among Hoyas for both its decorative leaves and its stunning, dark blossoms.
The leaves are thick, oval to slightly elongated, with a glossy green surface dusted in silver splashes that shimmer in bright light. Mature plants produce cascading clusters of burgundy-red flowers with pale pink centres, their porcelain texture giving them a jewel-like quality. Each bloom releases a sweet, honey-caramel fragrance, especially noticeable in the evening.
Elegant, compact, and full of character, Hoya rundumensis ‘Splash’ is a collector’s gem — combining distinctive foliage, rich blooms, and a naturally graceful trailing habit.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. A few hours of soft morning or late-afternoon sun will enhance the silver splashes and encourage flowering. Avoid harsh midday rays, which can scorch the leaves, or deep shade, which may reduce both variegation and blooms.
Allow the top 3–4 cm of soil to dry before watering again. Hoyas store moisture in their thick leaves and prefer light, even hydration. Overwatering can cause root rot, while prolonged dryness may wrinkle the foliage. Water less frequently during the winter months.
Temperature: Prefers warmth between 20–30°C; avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity (60–80%), though it adapts well to normal household conditions. Increased humidity encourages larger leaves and more frequent flowering.
Use a loose, well-draining epiphytic mix such as orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir or a specialist Hoya blend. This combination allows airflow and prevents soggy roots. Terracotta pots are ideal for moisture control. Repot every 2–3 years in spring to refresh the mix and provide space for growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced fertiliser or one designed for blooming plants. A phosphorus-rich feed can enhance flowering. Stop feeding in autumn and winter when growth slows.
Trim long vines lightly to maintain shape and encourage branching. Never remove the flower spurs (peduncles) after blooms fade — new flowers will return to these same points each season. Wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth to remove dust and accentuate the silver speckling.
A moderate grower with a compact, trailing habit, typically reaching 60–100 cm in length. With proper care, mature plants bloom regularly throughout the warm months, rewarding patience with abundant clusters of richly scented flowers.
Yellow leaves: Overwatering or lack of drainage.
Wrinkled leaves: Underwatering or low humidity.
Fewer blooms: Insufficient light or cutting off flower spurs.
Pests: Occasionally mealybugs or aphids; treat promptly with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Native to Borneo, Hoya rundumensis is an epiphytic climber that attaches to tree trunks and branches in the rainforest canopy. The ‘Splash’ form is a cultivated variant prized for its silvery-spotted foliage, which adds a modern, decorative element to this already exquisite species.
Its richly coloured flowers and strong fragrance make it a favourite among Hoya enthusiasts, while its modest care requirements make it surprisingly easy to grow. Like all Hoyas, it also helps purify indoor air and contributes to a serene, tropical atmosphere in any room.
