Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Labisia sp. ‘Jabi’ is a rare and highly ornamental member of the Primulaceae family, originating from the humid tropical forests of Southeast Asia. Like other jewel Labisia species, it is prized for its intricate foliage, compact growth, and suitability for terrarium culture.
The leaves are broad, slightly elongated, and velvety in texture, displaying a dramatic contrast between the dark green to almost black leaf blade and the shimmering metallic veins. Depending on the light, these veins can appear silvery, pinkish, or coppery, giving the plant a jewel-like appearance. The undersides of the leaves are often flushed with burgundy, adding another layer of beauty.
Growing low to the ground, Labisia ‘Jabi’ typically reaches 10–15 cm tall and spreads slowly via rhizomes. Its compact size and jewel-toned foliage make it a perfect choice for terrariums, display cases, or collectors of rare miniature tropical plants.
Prefers bright, indirect light or low to medium diffused light. Direct sunlight will scorch its delicate foliage. Ideal for terrariums under LED grow lights.
Keep the substrate evenly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer to just begin drying before watering again. Always use soft water (rainwater, distilled, or filtered) to avoid leaf damage from minerals.
Temperature: Thrives in 20–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and keep above 16°C.
Humidity: Requires very high humidity (70–90%) to prevent crisping. Best grown in terrariums, greenhouse cabinets, or humidity-controlled environments.
Use a light, airy, and moisture-retentive substrate – a mix of fine orchid bark, sphagnum moss, perlite, and peat-free compost is ideal. Shallow pots or terrarium planting suits its rhizomatous growth.
Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a very diluted balanced fertiliser. Avoid overfeeding, as Labisia roots are sensitive.
Remove damaged or older leaves at the base to encourage fresh growth. Avoid frequent disturbance of the roots and rhizome.
A slow grower that remains compact (10–15 cm tall). Forms small clumps over time, making it excellent for close-up display.
Leaf crisping: Low humidity or insufficient water.
Yellowing leaves: Overwatering or water with high mineral content.
Faded colouration: Too much light or nutrient deficiency.
Pests: Rare in terrariums, but may attract thrips or spider mites if air circulation is poor.
Labisia sp. ‘Jabi’ is part of the jewel Labisia group, admired for their velvety, metallic leaves. Its name refers to the locality where it was discovered. With its small stature and intricate variegation, it is a gem-like addition to any rare plant collection.
