Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Sansevieria cylindrica ‘Boncel Variegata’, also known as the Variegated Starfish Snake Plant, is a rare and highly decorative cultivar of the cylindrical snake plant family. Native to Angola, this succulent species has become a favourite among collectors for its compact, architectural rosette form and striking variegation.
The ‘Boncel’ variety produces thick, cylindrical leaves that fan out in a radial pattern resembling a starfish. The variegated form is even more spectacular, with irregular streaks, marbling, and splashes of creamy-white, pale yellow, or lime running through the otherwise grey-green, banded foliage. Each leaf is unique, making every plant a one-of-a-kind living sculpture.
Compact and slow-growing, ‘Boncel Variegata’ usually reaches 15–25 cm tall, occasionally taller with age. It produces offsets (pups) from the base over time, forming decorative clumps that enhance its bold, sculptural presence.
Thrives in bright, indirect light to bring out the best variegation. Tolerates medium and even low light but with slower growth and reduced variegation. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which may scorch pale sections.
Extremely drought tolerant. Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry fully between waterings. In summer, water every 2–3 weeks; in winter, once a month or less. Overwatering is the most common cause of failure.
Temperature: Prefers warmth, 18–28°C. Avoid temperatures below 10°C.
Humidity: Perfectly adapted to dry indoor air. Thrives in centrally heated homes.
Plant in a gritty, free-draining cactus or succulent compost. Shallow pots suit its rosette form. Repot every 2–3 years in spring, dividing offsets if desired.
Apply a diluted cactus or succulent fertiliser once a month during spring and summer. No feeding is necessary in autumn or winter.
Minimal care required. Remove old or damaged leaves at the base. Wipe foliage with a damp cloth to enhance its glossy appearance and highlight variegation.
A very slow-growing Sansevieria. Mature plants remain compact (15–25 cm) but gradually produce offsets, forming striking clumps. Occasionally, it may produce flower spikes of fragrant, creamy-white blossoms.
Yellow/mushy leaves: Almost always caused by overwatering.
Wrinkled foliage: A sign of prolonged drought – water thoroughly, then allow to dry again.
Pests: Rare, but mealybugs or spider mites may appear.
Sansevierias are celebrated for their durability and striking forms. The ‘Boncel Variegata’ cultivar is particularly prized for its unique starfish-like rosettes and creamy marbling. In addition to its ornamental value, like other Sansevierias, it also filters indoor air pollutants and produces oxygen at night, contributing to a healthier home environment.
