Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Alocasia Reversa, also known as the Elephant Ear or African Mask plant, is a stunning tropical foliage plant that belongs to the Araceae family. It is native to Southeast Asia and is highly sought after for its unique and striking appearance. The Alocasia Reversa is characterized by its large, arrow-shaped leaves that have a glossy, deep green color with contrasting white veins on the upper surface and a velvety maroon underside.
Light: Alocasia Reversa thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Placing the plant near a north or east-facing window is ideal to provide it with the right amount of light.
Temperature: This plant prefers a warm and humid environment. It thrives in temperatures between 60¬?F (15¬?C) and 80¬?F (27¬?C). Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 55¬?F (13¬?C), as it is sensitive to cold drafts.
Humidity: Alocasia Reversa requires high humidity levels to thrive. Mist the leaves regularly or place a humidifier nearby to maintain humidity levels of 60% or higher. You can also place the pot on a tray filled with pebbles and water to increase humidity around the plant.
Watering: The Alocasia Reversa prefers consistently moist soil but not waterlogged conditions. Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, allowing the excess water to drain out of the pot. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water, as it can lead to root rot. Overwatering can cause yellowing of the leaves, while underwatering can cause them to droop.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that retains moisture but does not become compacted. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark works well for Alocasia Reversa. Ensure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Fertilizer: During the growing season, from spring to early fall, feed the Alocasia Reversa with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every two weeks. Dilute the fertilizer to half its recommended strength to prevent burning the roots. Avoid fertilizing during the winter months when the plant is in its dormant phase.
Pruning: Remove any yellow or damaged leaves promptly to maintain the plant's health and appearance. You can also prune back any leggy or overgrown stems to encourage bushier growth.
Propagation: Alocasia Reversa can be propagated through division. When repotting the plant, carefully separate the rhizomes and plant them in separate pots. Ensure each division has a healthy root system. Propagation is best done during the spring or early summer when the plant is actively growing.
Pests and diseases: Alocasia Reversa is susceptible to common houseplant pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. Regularly inspect the plant for signs of infestation, such as webbing, sticky residue, or tiny insects. Treat pests with insecticidal soap or neem oil, following the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal diseases like powdery mildew.
With proper care, the Alocasia Reversa can be an impressive addition to any indoor plant collection. Keep in mind its specific light, temperature, humidity, watering, and fertilizing needs to ensure its optimal growth and vibrant appearance.
