Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Philodendron Patriciae, also known as the Patriciae Philodendron , is a stunning and unique plant that belongs to the Araceae family. Native to the rainforests of Colombia, it features large heart-shaped leaves with velvety, dark green to blackish-green foliage and striking white veins. This plant is highly sought after by plant enthusiasts for its beautiful appearance and relatively easy care requirements.
Light: Philodendron Patriciae thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. A location near an east or west-facing window is ideal, or you can provide filtered light through sheer curtains or a few feet away from a south-facing window.
Temperature: This tropical plant prefers temperatures between 65¬?F to 85¬?F (18¬?C to 29¬?C). It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but should be protected from drafts and extreme temperature changes. Do not expose it to temperatures below 55¬?F (13¬?C), as it can cause damage to the plant.
Humidity: Being native to rainforests, Philodendron Patriciae thrives in high humidity environments. Aim for humidity levels between 50% to 70%. If the air is dry, you can increase humidity by placing the plant on a tray filled with water and pebbles or by using a humidifier. Regular misting is also beneficial, but avoid misting directly on the leaves to prevent fungal issues.
Watering: This plant prefers consistently moist soil but can suffer if overwatered. Water your Philodendron Patriciae when the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil feels slightly dry to the touch. Ensure that the pot has drainage holes to allow excess water to escape. It is better to underwater than to overwater this plant, as it is more tolerant of drying out slightly between waterings.
Soil: A well-draining, rich potting mix is ideal for Philodendron Patriciae. You can create a suitable mix by combining equal parts of peat moss, perlite, and a high-quality indoor potting soil. Ensure that the soil retains some moisture but does not become waterlogged.
Fertilizer: During the growing season, from spring to summer, feed your Philodendron Patriciae with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every four to six weeks. Avoid fertilizing during the winter months when the plant's growth slows down.
Pruning: If your Philodendron Patriciae becomes leggy or develops yellowing leaves, you can prune it back to encourage bushier growth. Use clean and sharp pruning shears to remove any dead, damaged, or overgrown foliage. You can also propagate the cuttings to expand your plant collection.
Propagation: Philodendron Patriciae can be propagated through stem cuttings. Select a healthy stem with at least two leaves and make a clean cut just below a node. Place the cutting in water or a moist potting mix until it develops roots. Once the roots are established, you can transfer it to a pot with well-draining soil.
Pests and Diseases: Although Philodendron Patriciae is generally resistant to pests and diseases, it can occasionally face issues with mealybugs, spider mites, or aphids. Regularly inspect the plant for any signs of infestation, such as webbing, tiny insects, or yellowing leaves. If necessary, treat the infestation with an appropriate insecticide or by manually removing the pests with a soft cloth dipped in soapy water.
With proper care and attention to its needs, Philodendron Patriciae can thrive and become a stunning addition to your indoor plant collection. Enjoy the beauty of its velvety leaves and unique foliage patterns while providing it with the optimal conditions it requires for healthy growth.
