Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. Anthurium veitchii ‘Narrow Form’, often called the King Anthurium, is one of the most iconic and majestic species in the aroid world. Native to the cloud forests of Colombia and belonging to the Araceae family, this narrow-leaf form is especially prized for its elongated, rippled foliage that cascades elegantly as it matures.
The leaves are long, slender, and deeply corrugated, with a striking “ribbed” texture that develops more dramatically as the plant grows. Glossy, deep green, and highly architectural, each leaf can develop pronounced pleats that create an almost sculptural appearance. Unlike the broad classic form, the narrow variety produces a more streamlined silhouette, making it perfect for collectors seeking drama without needing large horizontal space.
As it matures, Anthurium veitchii ‘Narrow’ becomes a breathtaking centrepiece — its regal, pendant leaves adding vertical movement and a luxurious tropical atmosphere to any indoor space.
Thrives in bright, indirect light, mimicking the dappled canopy conditions of its native habitat. It tolerates medium light, though growth will be slower and leaves less dramatic. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the foliage.
Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. Allow the top 2–4 cm to dry before watering again. Anthuriums prefer consistent moisture but are sensitive to overwatering, which can cause root issues.
Temperature: Ideal range is 18–26 °C. Protect from cold draughts and avoid temperatures below 15 °C.
Humidity: High humidity (60–80%) is essential for large, glossy leaf development and deep corrugation. Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or display within a plant cabinet for best results.
Use a very airy, chunky aroid mix — combining orchid bark, perlite, charcoal, and coco coir. Anthurium veitchii needs excellent root oxygenation. Repot every 1–2 years, choosing a pot only slightly larger than the previous one.
Feed every 2–3 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced or calcium-enriched fertiliser to support strong leaf structure. Reduce feeding in autumn and winter.
Remove older or yellowing leaves at the base to encourage new growth. Wipe the leaves gently to keep them glossy and healthy. Provide a stake or support if you want to train the petioles upright before they begin to arch gracefully.
A moderate grower that can produce long, elegant leaves reaching 60–120 cm in ideal conditions. Corrugation deepens with age, giving the plant its signature regal look. Growth slows in winter or in lower light.
Brown edges: Usually caused by low humidity.
Pale leaves: Insufficient light or nutrients.
Drooping: Underwatering or cold temperatures.
Pests: Watch for thrips and spider mites on large leaves.
Anthurium veitchii is one of the most celebrated species in the Anthurium kingdom, and the ‘Narrow Form’ brings all the grandeur of the King Anthurium with a slimmer, more refined profile. Perfect for collectors and interior stylists, its rippling, pleated leaves provide natural drama and elegance without overwhelming a space.
Its vertical, pendant growth habit makes it ideal for displaying on tall plant stands, shelves, or in corners where its leaves can hang freely and be admired from multiple angles.
