Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Monstera obliqua ‘Peru’ is one of the rarest and most coveted Monstera forms in cultivation, treasured for its extremely delicate foliage, dramatic perforations, and airy, lace-like appearance. Native to the tropical regions of Peru and part of the Araceae family, this species is world-famous for its ultra-thin leaf blades and unusually high degree of fenestration.
The leaves are paper-thin, soft, and elegant, with large oval and elongated holes that occupy most of the leaf surface, creating an intricate, almost skeletal structure. The remaining tissue is a bright, fresh green and feels almost weightless to the touch. Each leaf is highly variable — some nearly all perforation, others slightly more filled — giving every plant a unique, sculptural presence.
Monstera obliqua ‘Peru’ grows as a delicate climber with slender vines and short internodes. Highly refined, exceptionally rare, and visually spectacular, this species is a true collector’s trophy plant — often considered one of the crown jewels of the Monstera world.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Good lighting encourages strong growth and helps support larger, well-shaped fenestrations. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the extremely thin leaves.
Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, allowing the top 1–2 cm to dry slightly between watering. This species dislikes complete dryness, but overwatering must also be avoided due to its delicate root system. Use filtered or rainwater where possible.
Temperature: Prefers warm conditions of 20–28 °C. Growth slows below 18 °C.
Humidity: Requires very high humidity (70–90%). Ideal conditions include greenhouse cabinets, high-humidity rooms, or well-maintained terrariums.
Use a very airy, fast-draining aroid mix. A blend of fine orchid bark, coco coir, perlite, pumice, and a touch of sphagnum moss works well. Repot gently — the roots and stems are extremely fragile. Only upsize when absolutely necessary.
Feed every 2–3 weeks during the growing season with a weak, balanced fertiliser. Overfertilising can easily burn the tender roots.
Prune sparingly. Remove damaged leaves at the base, but avoid disturbing healthy vines. Provide a soft, moss-covered pole or support to encourage climbing. Handle leaves with care; they tear very easily.
A slow and delicate grower, typically producing small but highly fenestrated leaves. Mature vines can reach 1–2 metres with time, especially when provided with high humidity and support. Leaf size increases noticeably when the plant is allowed to climb.
Leaf tearing: Normal due to extremely thin leaves; avoid handling.
Yellowing: Often from overwatering or low humidity.
Crispy edges: Low humidity or underwatering.
Pests: Watch for spider mites and thrips, which target thin foliage.
Monstera obliqua ‘Peru’ is legendary among aroid collectors due to its rarity, complexity, and almost ethereal beauty. The species is often confused with Monstera adansonii, but true obliqua is far more delicate, with extraordinary fenestration and a distinctive lightweight texture.
For collectors, this plant represents the pinnacle of Monstera diversity — a specimen that turns any plant shelf, display case, or botanical cabinet into something extraordinary. Its lace-like foliage adds an artistic, sculptural feel to plant arrangements.
