Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. Key Plant Details
Botanical Name: Monstera deliciosa 'Vietciosa'
Common Name: Monstera Vietciosa, Vietnamese Mint Monstera
Plant Type: Variegated hemiepiphytic climbing evergreen
Growth Habit: Vining climber; best grown with vertical support
Toxicity: Contains calcium oxalate crystals; toxic to cats, dogs, and humans if chewed or ingested
Care Requirements
Light Provide abundant, bright indirect sunlight. Positions near east-facing windows or set slightly back from unshaded south- or west-facing windows are ideal. The delicate mint tissue requires substantial ambient light to photosynthesize, but harsh direct afternoon sun will scorch the pale variegation. If natural light is limited, place under a full-spectrum grow light receiving roughly 1,000 to 2,500 foot-candles.
Watering Water thoroughly only when the top 40% to 50% of the potting medium has dried out. Pour water evenly across the substrate until it drains freely out of the drainage holes, then discard all pooled runoff. Never allow the pot to sit in standing water. Using filtered water, distilled water, or rainwater helps prevent salt and mineral buildup on the foliage edges. Reduce watering frequency in late autumn and winter.
Substrate & Repotting Plant in an airy, fast-draining chunky aroid blend. A mixture of coarse orchid bark, perlite or pumice, horticultural charcoal, and coco coir creates maximum oxygenation around the root system and prevents moisture stagnation. Repot in spring when the plant becomes root-bound, choosing a container only 2 to 3 inches wider with multiple drainage holes.
Temperature & Humidity Keep the environment warm and stable between 18°C and 28°C (65°F to 82°F). Keep the plant away from drafty windows, air conditioners, and direct heat sources. Vietciosa thrives best in relative humidity levels of 65% to 80%. While it can acclimate to standard household humidity around 50%, elevated humidity ensures smooth leaf unfurling and preserves the purity of the mint variegation without dry brown edges.
Support & Fertilization Train the vine upward using a sturdy moss pole or cedar plank. Allowing the aerial roots to grow into a moist support pole signals the plant to accelerate mature leaf size and deeper fenestrations. Feed every 2 to 4 weeks during spring and summer using a balanced, water-soluble foliage fertilizer diluted to half strength. Pause fertilization during winter dormancy.
Troubleshooting & Plant Tips
Browning Edges on Mint Sections: Usually caused by low ambient humidity, irregular watering cycles, or tap water mineral sensitivity. Maintain consistent air moisture and check soil dryness before watering.
Solid Green Regrowth: If new foliage begins to emerge without mint variegation, move the plant to a brighter location with stronger filtered light.
Curled or Stalled Unfurling Leaves: Indicates dry ambient air or dehydrated roots. Mist the moss pole and elevate ambient room humidity.
Overall rating: 4.7 / 5 from 10 reviews.
