Aruncus

Aruncus, commonly known as goat's beard, is a genus of herbaceous perennials that are native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. They are members of the Rosaceae family and are commonly grown as ornamental plants for their attractive, feathery foliage and their showy, creamy-white plumes of flowers that bloom in the late spring and summer. Aruncus are popular in shade gardens, woodland gardens, and as cut flowers.

Aruncus have a clump-forming growth habit and produce tall, arching stems that are adorned with finely divided, fern-like leaves. The leaves are typically a deep green color and may turn golden yellow in the fall. In the late spring and summer, Aruncus produce showy, creamy-white plumes of flowers that are held above the foliage on tall, sturdy stems. The flowers are typically fragrant and attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
