Lithospermum
Lithospermum is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Boraginaceae. They are commonly known as "stoneseeds" because of the hard, nut-like fruits that they produce. Lithospermum plants are native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and are now grown in many other parts of the world as ornamental plants.
Lithospermum plants have upright stems that can reach up to three feet in height. The flowers are typically blue, purple, or white, and are arranged in spikes or clusters. The foliage of Lithospermum plants is often green and slightly hairy, and can be quite narrow and pointed.
