Lamium
Lamium is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Lamiaceae. They are commonly known as "dead nettles" because of their resemblance to stinging nettles, although they do not have the characteristic sting. Lamium plants are native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and are now grown in many other parts of the world as ornamental plants.
Lamium plants have low-growing stems that can spread rapidly and form dense mats. The flowers are typically pink, purple, or white, and are arranged in a spike or whorl. The foliage of Lamium plants is often green or variegated, and can be quite ornamental, with heart-shaped leaves.
