Lithodora
Lithodora is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Boraginaceae. They are commonly known as "gromwells" because of the shape and texture of their leaves. Lithodora plants are native to Europe and North Africa, and are now grown in many other parts of the world as ornamental plants.
Lithodora plants have low-growing stems that can reach up to one foot in height. The flowers are typically blue, although some species have pink or white blooms, and are arranged in clusters. The foliage of Lithodora plants is often green and covered in small, stiff hairs, which give the leaves a rough, sandpaper-like texture.
