Centranthus

Centranthus is a genus of herbaceous perennial and annual plants in the family Caprifoliaceae, native to the Mediterranean region, but also found in other parts of the world. These plants are commonly known as valerian or Jupiter's beard.

Centranthus plants are valued for their attractive clusters of flowers in shades of pink, red, and white. They have a long blooming period, from late spring to early fall, and their flowers are fragrant and attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
