Catananche
Catananche is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to the Mediterranean region and parts of Asia. The genus includes about 25 species of annuals and perennials, some of which are grown as ornamental plants.
Catananche plants are typically low-growing, with a basal rosette of leaves and wiry stems bearing clusters of daisy-like flowers. The flowers have a central disc of yellow or brown florets surrounded by a ring of ray florets in shades of blue, white, or pink.
