Alchemilla
Alchemilla, commonly known as lady's mantle, is a genus of perennial plants that are native to Europe and Asia. They are members of the rose family (Rosaceae) and are widely cultivated as ornamental plants for their attractive foliage and delicate, yellow-green flowers. Lady's mantle is commonly grown in garden borders, rock gardens, and as a ground cover.
Lady's mantle has a clump-forming growth habit and produces lobed, scalloped leaves that are covered in tiny hairs that catch and hold droplets of water. The leaves are a bright, yellow-green color and can add texture and interest to the garden even when the plant is not in bloom. In the summer, lady's mantle produces clusters of small, yellow-green flowers that are held above the foliage on slender stems.
